Introduction¶
VeriSaaS Cloud is Veridas' multi-cloud platform, deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud, that provides a secure and scalable execution environment for Veridas identity verification and biometric services. It handles deployment and operation so that customers can consume Veridas services through APIs, without on-premises installations.
- Multi-cloud: VeriSaaS Cloud runs on two leading public cloud providers, which adds resilience and flexibility in where services are delivered.
- Multitenancy: VeriSaaS Cloud is shared by different customers and provides the mechanisms to logically isolate them.
- Security: VeriSaaS Cloud is built following current security standards for cloud services. The Security section explains these mechanisms in detail.
- Monitoring: VeriSaaS Cloud is monitored both from the outside (availability and SLA metrics) and from the inside (CPU, memory, disk and application metrics, among others).
- Logging: VeriSaaS Cloud includes unified and centralized logging, which also supports the security of the environment.
- Alerting: based on monitoring, logging and security data, VeriSaaS Cloud alerts Veridas teams so they can react quickly to any operational problem.
- Backup & Restore: VeriSaaS Cloud has automated backup and restore procedures. If a disaster happens, the service can be resumed in less than 60 minutes (RTO). See Resilience & Disaster Recovery.
Regions and service availability¶
VeriSaaS Cloud is deployed in three regions, each with a SANDBOX and a LIVE environment:
| Region | Cloud provider | Location |
|---|---|---|
| AWS EU | Amazon Web Services | Ireland |
| AWS US | Amazon Web Services | North Virginia, United States |
| GCP EU | Google Cloud | Madrid, Spain |
All VeriSaaS services are commercially available in all three regions.
Each customer's service is provisioned in one of these regions. Customer data is processed and stored only in that region, and its backups are kept within the same geographic area. The versions currently deployed in each region are published in the VeriSaaS versions page.
Cloud marketplaces¶
VeriSaaS services can also be contracted through the cloud marketplaces:
