Introduction

IMPORTANT NOTE

This iOS Swift product is not a new major version of the Objective-C SDK, but the product redesigned in Swift. It introduces significant changes and new capabilities compared to the previous implementation, but it does not maintain backward compatibility. To ensure a smooth transition, follow the dedicated migration guide and thoroughly test in development environments to validate integration and functionality.

Key Features and Improvements of iOS SDKs

The Video SDK is a Swift library that combines the functionalities of the Selfie SDK and the Document SDK into a single solution, enabling both face and document verification in one integrated video session.

It begins by detecting and verifying the user's face using advanced biometric algorithms. Once the user's identity is confirmed, the SDK proceeds to capture and analyze identity documents, detecting their type and assessing their authenticity through advanced document recognition techniques.

Flow

The Video SDK is a powerful tool designed to simplify the identity verification process. It guides the user through the following steps within a single video recording:

  1. Show their face: The user must look directly at the camera, ensuring their full face is clearly visible.
  2. Say their full name out loud: The user is prompted to clearly say their name and surnames.
  3. Show the obverse (front side) of their document: The user must present the front side of their identity document to the camera, ensuring all details are visible.
  4. Show the reverse (back side) of their document (if applicable): If the document has two sides, the user will be prompted to display the back side as well.

Document type

The SDK supports the capture of a wide range of documents from around the world. You can find the complete list here: Documents. Depending on the document type, the SDK will prompt the user to capture either just the front side (obverse) or both sides (obverse and reverse) of the document.
