This section presents the changes that have been introduced in the update of the IDV.

DEPRECATION NOTICE

We are in the process of deprecating our "Selfie Alive" process. As a first step, we are going to deprecate it in our web SDKs (Web-Components only) in the next SDKs release.

This means that the next Web-Components SDKs released won't have this functionality.

Those customers with our Web-components web SDKs already integrated and using "Selfie Alive" will need to adapt their integrations to our passive ("Selfie") or active ("Selfie Alive Pro") liveness capture, according to their use case requirements.

The latest web SDKs released with support to "Selfie Alive" (v5.2.14) will be supported and maintained for 6 more months, until February 2025.

  • The following scores will be removed in the 2024.6 release. Please make sure you are not using any of these scores in any of your business logic:
    • "ScoreGroup-MaterialAuthenticity"
    • "ScoreVal-SD_CLI_FrontFlash-ValidImage"
    • "ScoreVal-SD_CLI_FrontFlash-CLITexture"
    • "ScoreVal-SD_OVI_FrontFlash-Sparkle"
    • "ScoreGroup-LightDependant"
    • "ScoreGroup-DocumentAntiSpoofing-MaterialAuthenticity"

OCR Field changes

A non-backward compatible update is going to be released in our next 2024.6 release to fix a small deficiency in the reading of a series of documents.

This fix affects Portuguese documents.

The field affected are:

  • PD_IdentificationNumber_Out will now include the civil ID number (8 characters)
  • DD_DocumentNumber_Out will now have 12 characters (8 characters from the civil number + 4 more)

OCR Field changes

This update is going to be released in our next 2024.6 release:

2 new fields are going to be added to passports (XX_Passport_YYYY): PD_LastName1_Out and PD_LastName2_Out.

Addition

  • New vertical capture and redesigned active liveness capture, with new UX/UI and improved document detection technology and face detector.
  • Add new document in Portugal (PT_IDCard_2024).
  • (Change announced for 2024.5) Add a new node in Guatemala (GT_IDCard_2009): PD_LastName1_Out.
  • (Change announced for 2024.5) Add a new node in Spain (ES_DrivingLicense_2004): PD_LastName1_Out.
  • (Change announced for 2024.5) Add a new node in Bulgaria (BG_DrivingLicense_2002 and BG_DrivingLicense_2013): PD_LastName1_Out.

Changed

  • Change PD_IdentificationNumber_Out in Venezuela (VE_IDCard_2011) to include the character located at the left of the number.
  • Improve reading of PD_Nationality_Out in Venezuela (VE_IDCard_2011).
  • Improve general CER in Italy (IT_DrivingLicense_2000, IT_DrivingLicense_2013, IT_HealthCard_2004, IT_HealthCard_2022, IT_IDCard_2004, IT_IDCard_2016 IT_IDCard_2017, IT_IDCard_2022), improving names and lastnames reading.
  • Modify in Guatemala (GT_IDCard_2009) the PD_LastName_Out node to be "PD_LastName1_Out + PD_LastName2_Out" and modify PD_Name_Out and PD_IdentificationNumber_Out to have the proper content.
  • Modify in Spain (ES_DrivingLicense_2013 and ES_DrivingLicense_2004) the PD_LastName_Out node to be PD_LastName1_Out + PD_LastName2_Out.
  • Modify in Bulgaria (BG_DrivingLicense_2002 and BG_DrivingLicense_2013) the PD_LastName_Out node to be PD_LastName1_Out + PD_LastName2_Out.
  • Update of anti-spoofing measures to enhance print and replay attack detection.
