This section presents the changes that have been introduced in the update of the IDV.

VERSION NOTICE

These updates are part of XpressID V2.1, our latest version designed to help you meet global accessibility requirements while delivering a faster, more intuitive user experience.

To ensure you benefit from everything we’re building — including performance upgrades, new features, and ongoing compliance improvements — we strongly encourage you to migrate to V2.1, as all future enhancements will be developed exclusively in this version.

Removed

  • Remove deprecated node PD_IdentificationNumber_Out in Italy (IT_DrivingLicense_2000, IT_DrivingLicense_2013)

Added

  • Add new API parameter excludedDocumentTypes in POST document and GET available-types endpoints. Now some documents, countries or document categories can be excluded from the analysis. If the sent document is inside the definition of excludedDocumentTypes the new error ExcludedDocumentError will be raised. NOTE if a specific doctypes is sent no error will happen.

  • Improve detection accuracy for print, replay and photo presentation attacks.
  • Improve extraction of tax number in Portugal (PT_IDCard_2015, PT_IDCard_2024, PT_ResidencePermit_2017, PT_ResidencePermit_2019 and PT_ResidencePermit_2020).
  • Improve reading of name and lastanmes in Spain (ES_IDCard_2015) and Russia (RU_DrivingLicense_2011).
  • Improve barcodes decoding rate of documents processed via extended coverage.
  • Improve extraction of document number in Chile (CL_IDCard_2024).
  • Improve expedition date reading in Andorra (AD_ResidencePermit_2018) for documents expedited in December.
  • Improve processing of Kosovo (XK_DrivingLicense_2008, XK_DrivingLicense_2018, XK_DrivingLicense_2024, XK_IDCard_2009, XK_IDCard_2013, XK_IDCard_2024, XK_ResidencePermit_2013, XK_ResidencePermit_2024) documents with extended coverage.
  • Change expedition date in Mexico (MX_IDCard_2014 and MX_IDCard_2019) to return the text from the QR code if it has been decoded.
  • Improve extraction of parents info in Portugal (PT_IDCard_2015, PT_IDCard_2024).
  • Improve reading of composed lastnames with hyphens in Poland (PL_IDCard_2001, PL_IDCard_2015, PL_IDCard_2019).
