This section presents the changes that have been introduced in the update of the IDV.

VERSION NOTICE

These updates are part of XpressID V2.1, our latest version designed to help you meet global accessibility requirements while delivering a faster, more intuitive user experience.

To ensure you benefit from everything we’re building — including performance upgrades, new features, and ongoing compliance improvements — we strongly encourage you to migrate to V2.1, as all future enhancements will be developed exclusively in this version.

Deprecation Note

  • Removal of PD_IdentificationNumber_Out for HU_IDCard_2015 in Release 2026.3

Added

  • Add new document in Angola (AO_Passport_YYYY), Brasil (BR_Passport_YYYY) and The Netherlands (NL_Passport_YYYY), this last one allowing reverse side processing.
  • Add reading of reverse side in United Kingdom Driving Licenses (GB_DrivingLicense_2012, GB_DrivingLicense_2014, GB_DrivingLicense_2015, GB_DrivingLicense_2021, GB_DrivingLicense_2022, GB_DrivingLicense-PL_2012, GB_DrivingLicense-PL_2014, GB_DrivingLicense-PL_2015, GB_DrivingLicense-PL_2021, GB_DrivingLicense-PL_2022), with their corresponding nodes and scores.

  • Separate fields for Last Name 1 and Last Name 2 in Passports
  • Improve extended coverage for MX_DrivingLicense documents when no BirthDate info is displayed

  • Raise UnknownDocumentTypeError when classifying a document that is not included in the 'document_type' field

Fixed

  • Fix BirthDate extraction in Spanish residence permits with unknown birth dates (ES_ResidencePermit_2010, ES_ResidencePermit_2020).
  • Fix behavior when no expiration date or birth date is present in Driving Licenses in Mexico (MX_DrivingLicense).
  • Fix reading of DD_DocumentNumber node in Portugal (PT_ResidencePermit_2020)
  • Fix incorrect OCR outputs in the Title field when the field is empty (-X-) in Austria (AT_IDCards, AT_ResidencePermits)
  • Fix excludedDocumentTypes when excluded groups are related with Canada (CA)
  • Fix barcode read errors in Mexico, Argentina and Dominican Republic IDCards (MX_IDCards, AR_IDCards and DO_IDCards)
