Specifications

XpressID is a web application served over HTTPS, whose URL must be embedded in the Secure Frontend Architecture (SFA) of the customer web site.

XpressID loading size

Depending on the flows chosen to be used on XPressID, the modules which need to be loaded will vary so the size of the data loaded will also be different. The following list indicates the size of the data which will be loaded for each flow. The release 2026.7 introduced a significant improvement in the size of the packages.

Capture processes Before 2026.7 release Current size
document 24.2 MB 19.3 MB
document + video 53.8 MB 41.6 MB
document + selfie 53.2 MB 41.4 MB
document + selfie + video 61.6 MB 42.7 MB
selfie 36.0 MB 31.4 MB

This loading is done once and then the browser caches this information.

Most of this weight comes from the face/document detection models (TensorFlow.js and MediaPipe), not from XpressID's own code. These models are shared across capture processes, so they are only downloaded once even when a flow combines several of them: document and video share the same TensorFlow.js model, selfie and video share the same MediaPipe model, enabling document + video to weigh about the same as document + selfie.
