What's new?

This section presents the changes that have been introduced in XpressID v4.12

Listed improvements

  • Added a specific error screen for unsupported browser. New texts under texts.error.unsupportedBrowser key (desktopMediaAltText, mobileMediaAltText, subtitle, title)
  • Allow customization of the manual capture snackbar with the following parameters: iconColorEnd, descriptionColor, borderRadius and an inverse color set (backgroundColorInverse, iconColorInverse, iconColorEndInverse, textColorInverse, descriptionColorInverse, borderColorInverse, borderWidthInverse) under styles.components.snackbar.
  • Optimized the size of the product: the static assets served by XpressID are now 25% smaller, reducing download size and improving loading times.
  • Accessibility improvements.
  • Integrate SDK Document version 6.10.0
  • Integrate SDK Selfie version 6.10.0
  • Integrate SDK Video version 6.10.0
  • Minor fixes and improvements.

Deprecated in this release

  • Removed the deprecated BlurredImageError error event, in favor of ImageQualityError.
  • The following events that were still being sent as type: info are now only sent as type: error:

  • Removed the legacy DocumentCameraFailed, SelfieCameraFailed and VideoCameraFailed events, replaced by their more specific events.
  • ApiTimeoutError no longer dispatches an additional UnknownError event.

Upcoming deprecations in version 2027.1

The following changes are planned for version 2027.1:

  • Component styles.card removed: The styles.card component will be replaced by styles.selectorItem. Until then, the values set in styles.card keep being mapped automatically to styles.selectorItem, as described in the Cards section.

Upcoming deprecations in version 2027.2

The following changes are planned for version 2027.2:

  • Text texts.document.[x].review.mediaAltText removed: The alternative text of the document review image is now configured per side with the new texts.document.[x].review.obverse.mediaAltText and texts.document.[x].review.reverse.mediaAltText, which are already translated by default in all the supported languages. Until then, if you have customized texts.document.[x].review.mediaAltText, its value keeps being applied to both review screens, unless you also configure the side-specific texts.
  • Digital-only document types (PDFs that cannot be captured with the camera) will no longer be supported in documentTypes or additionalDocumentTypes, see Captures.
