Multi-cloud strategy

VeriSaaS Cloud runs on two public cloud providers, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud. Both are recognized leaders in cloud infrastructure and meet the security, availability and compliance requirements of a service that processes identity data.

Why multi-cloud?

  • Resilience: operating on two independent providers reduces dependence on a single vendor and adds options to keep the service running in the event of a large-scale outage.
  • Flexibility and data residency: a wider choice of regions helps meet the data residency and regulatory requirements of each customer and market.
  • Best service for each workload: each provider offers mature managed services (containers and Kubernetes, databases, encryption keys, load balancing and web protection), which lets Veridas choose the best fit for each service.
  • Security and compliance: both providers hold the main international certifications (such as ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2) and support compliance with regulations such as the GDPR.
  • Consistent operation: Veridas manages both clouds with the same principles: infrastructure as code, automated deployments, centralized monitoring and the same security controls.

Regions

VeriSaaS Cloud is deployed in regions that combine high availability, a broad catalog of services and proximity to our customers:

  • AWS EU - Ireland (eu-west-1): Amazon Web Services region in Europe.
  • AWS US - North Virginia (us-east-1): Amazon Web Services region in the Americas.
  • GCP EU - Madrid, Spain (europe-southwest1): Google Cloud region in Spain.

Each region has several availability zones (physically separate data centers), which protects the service against local failures such as power or network outages. All VeriSaaS services are commercially available in every region.

Customer data is processed and stored only in the region where the service is provisioned, and its backups are kept within the same geographic area.
