Resilience & Disaster Recovery

VeriSaaS Cloud is designed to keep the service available during local failures and to recover it in less than 60 minutes (RTO) if a disaster happens.

High availability

  • Each region (AWS EU, AWS US and GCP EU) has several availability zones, which are physically separate data centers with independent power and networking.
  • VeriSaaS services run on several instances distributed across availability zones and scale automatically with demand.
  • Managed load balancers send traffic only to healthy instances.

Disaster recovery

  • Backups are automated, encrypted and replicated to a secondary location within the same geographic area.
  • Disaster recovery procedures are defined and prepared in advance, so the service can be restored if a whole region becomes unavailable.
  • All VeriSaaS infrastructure is defined as code, so it can be recreated in a repeatable way.
  • Recovery Time Objective (RTO): less than 60 minutes.

Running on two cloud providers adds another layer of resilience, as it reduces dependence on a single vendor.
